Kemet Match Lapping
The Kemet Match lapping Machine provides an automated method to match lap two valve or similar parts together. The parts can be 25 to 350mm diameter and up to 400mm high. The parts can have curved or flat surfaces and can be of similar or different materials. The machine is variable speed for rotation from 0 to 70 rpm and a selection of sweep arm strokes and speeds suitable for the parts being lapped.
One component part is held in a 3 jaw chuck with reversible jaws and the second part located under the sweep arm with suitable location and anti -rotation fixture. Pressure can be applied to the top part being lapped. The machine is bench mounted and the rotating chuck fully guarded.have curved or flat surfaces and can be of similar or different materials. The process timer is fully programmable. As the chuck is mounted on a lift off disc, other chuck sizes can easily be fitted (optional extra). An initial supply of lapping abrasives are included along with full instructions in their use.
